Muslim community hosts lunch to Dalai Lama

LEH, Aug 16: Ladakh Muslim Coordination Committee Leh Ladakh hosted a lunch reception in honour of the 14th Dalai Lama at Shah-e-Hamdan, Jasjid Sharif Shey Leh Ladakh. Muslim community in Ladakh had hosted their first ever reception to Dalai Lama in 1980 at Eidgah Leh and since then it has been a practice to host reception to him during his visit to Ladakh.
During the function, Rinpoches of different Monastery, LAHDC Leh Chairman Tashi Gyaltsan, Executive Councillors, MP Ladakh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, LBA President Thupstan Chhewang, Political leaders and other religious leaders were present.
