Science Department,GDC Kishtwar Kishtwar organises Seminar to commemorate National Science Day Celebration
Kishtwar,28-02-2023: To commemorate the National Science Day 2023 Celebration,a seminar on National Science Day was today organised in the conference Hall of GDC Kishtwar in which students of different semesters along with the faculty members participated.
Principal Dr. Jyoti Parihar presided over the seminar as Chief Guest.
The programme was organised by Science department of the GDC Kishtear.
During the course of the programme, Prof. Romana Akhtar presented the welcome address and threw light on the significance of celebration of this day.
It is pertinent to mention here that National Science Day is celebrated every ever to commemorate the achievements of Dr. C V Raman who won noble prize in 1930 for his important discovery of Raman effect.
Various students spoke in detail about the Wonders of Science and how science has revolutionized the way of living on the occasion .
The students from science stream also participated in the poster presentation event.
Dr.Jyoti Parihar in her presidential address stressed on the scientific temper to be developed among the students and the importance of its awareness among all the students in general.She explained in detail about various common events involving science in our daily lives .
Prof. Umar Din Rather and Prof. Faisal Mushtaq also spoke in length about the life history and achievements of Dr. C V Raman.
Students who participated either orally or through poster have been given certificates of appreciation along with refreshment.
Prof.Romana Akhter, Prof Sarita Parihar,Dr.Sehrish gazal managed the whole presentation during the programme.
The programme came to conclusion with the vote of thanks presented by Dr Sehrish gazal.
