Kishtwar June 20th: Kishtwar Development Authority in collaboration with District Administration Kishtwar today organised Mehfil-e-Qawali at KV School Kishtwar on the occasion of URS Shah Fareed-ud-Din sahib (RA).
The renowned singers from the Chenab valley participated in the event who soothed the souls of audience by their melodious voice through Sufi songs presented by them.
The event emerged as a befitting tribute to the composite cultural legacy of the district as well the union Territory.
The energetic performance by Qawwals and their calm take off with compositions based in classical music came as a kind of treat for the music aficionados present in large numbers and bursting with wah, wahs.
The occasion was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Kumar Sharma.
Besides this Additional District Development Commissiomer Kishtwar Sham Lal,CEO Kishtwar Development Authority Inderjeet Parihar,ACR Kishtwar Varunjeet Charak,ACD Kishtwar Atul Dutt Sharma,Account Officer DC office Kishtwar Imran Ahmad Kichloo besides other district officers, staff of KDA and DC office, locals and music lovers also remained present on the occasion.
